Cooling System: Testing and Inspection

If overheating is noticed while driving at low and medium speeds. Fan clutch should be inspected for slippage. Fan clutch should not rotate more than one full turn when given a vigorous spin with engine off and cool. Inspect the shaft area for signs of fluid leakage. Fan should rotate smoothly, with no wobble.

If loud roaring noise is noticed during acceleration and at high speeds. Fan clutch should be inspected for a stiff or seized bearings.
