1. Do the Start-up procedure in the Picture Diagnosis Test, then select Trip Diag.

Is the Fuel Vref A/D between 745- 1000, and is the Fuel Vmeas A/D between 80 - 580?

YES - Replace the navigation unit.

NO - Go to step 2.

2. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
3. Disconnect gauge assembly connector A (30P) and navigation unit connector D (5P).
4. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).




5. Measure the voltage between navigation unit connector D (5P) terminal No. 4 and body ground.

Is there voltage?

YES - Repair short to power in the wire between the navigation unit and the gauge assembly.

NO - Go to step 6.

6. Turn the ignition switch OFF.




7. Check for continuity between navigation unit connector D (5P) terminal No. 4 and body ground.

Is there continuity?

YES - Repair short to body ground in the wire between the navigation unit and the gauge assembly.

NO - Go to step 8.




8. Check for continuity between navigation unit connector D (5P) terminal No. 4 and gauge assembly connector A (30P) terminal No. 2.

Is there continuity?

YES - Go to step 9.

NO - Repair open in the wire between the navigation unit and the gauge assembly.

9. Disconnect gauge assembly connector C (14P).
10. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).




11. Measure the voltage between navigation unit connector D (5P) terminal No. 3 and body ground.

Is there voltage?

YES - Repair short to power in the wire between the navigation unit and gauge assembly.

NO - Go to step 12.

12. Turn the ignition switch OFF.




13. Check for continuity between navigation unit connector D (5P) terminal No. 3 and body ground.

Is there continuity?

YES - Repair short to body ground in the wire between the navigation unit and the gauge assembly.

NO - Go to step 14.




14. Check for continuity between navigation unit connector D (5P) terminal No. 3 and gauge assembly connector B (14P) terminal No. 6.

Is there continuity?

YES - Go to step 15.

NO - Repair open in the wire between the navigation unit and the gauge assembly.

15. Substitute a known-good navigation unit and recheck.

Is it return normal?

YES - Replace the navigation unit.

NO - Replace the gauge assembly.
