Power Seats
How the Circuit WorksDriver's Power Seat
Power is provided at all times through fuses 2 and 4 (in the passenger's under-dash fuse/relay box) to the power seat adjustment switch.
Front Up/Down
When you move the front up-down switch to DOWN, power is supplied to the front up-down motor through the switch. The front up-down motor is grounded through the UP contact of the front up-down switch. The motor will run until you release the switch or the seat reaches the full front down position. The contacts for UP operation of the front up-down switch are wired the opposite way of the DOWN contacts, causing the motor to run in the opposite direction.
Rear Up-Down
Rear up-down operation is similar to the front up-down operation.
Recline
Recline operation is similar to the front up-down operation.
Slide
Slide operation is similar to the front up-down operation.
Front Passenger's Power Seat
Power is provided at all times through fuses 3 and 5 (in the passenger's under-dash fuse/relay box) to the power seat adjustment switch.
Recline
Recline operation is similar to the slide operation.
Slide
When you move the slide switch to BACKWARD, power is supplied to the slide motor through the switch The motor is grounded through the FORWARD contact of the slide switch. The motor will run until you release the switch or the seat reaches the full slide backward position. The contacts for FORWARD operation of the slide switch are wired the opposite way of the BACKWARD contacts, causing the motor to run in the opposite direction.
