MDX With Manual Seat

1. Make sure you have the audio system anti-theft code and the navigation system security code (if equipped). Record the customer's radio station presets.

2. Move the front passenger's seat backward all the way.

3. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Wait 3 minutes before continuing.





4. Check the part number of the seat harness.

^ If the part number is 81311-S3V-A30xx, continue to step 5.

^ If the part number is 81311-S3V-A31xx, the seat harness has been replaced with a countermeasured harness. Return the vehicle to the customer.





5. Disconnect the 3P electrical connector between the seat harness and the seat belt buckle.





6. Connect the sub-harness to the seat belt buckle and seat harness connectors.

7. Wrap electrical tape around the sub-harness-to-seat-harness connector to reduce the chance that the sub-harness will be removed and discarded sometime in the future..





8. Secure the sub-harness by pushing the clip on the connector into the hole in the seat frame.

9. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.

10. Enter the audio system anti-theft code and the customer's radio station presets. Enter the navigation system security code. Set the clock.





11. Center-punch a completion mark above the first character (2) of the engine compartment VIN.
