Sunvisor Will Not Stay Clipped Into Holder

SYMPTOM

The sunvisor will not stay clipped into its holder.


PROBABLE CAUSE

The sunvisor holder opening is too big.


CORRECTIVE ACTION

Install new sunvisor holders.


PARTS INFORMATION

NOTE:
Only one gray sunvisor holder is improved.
Use P/N 88217-SDB-A01ZC (NH528L) for both TYPE B and TYPE D interior colors.





Determine the interior color TYPE by reading the label on the driver's side doorjamb.

Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone Office. You must request consideration, and get a decision, before starting work.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Unclip the sunvisor from the holder; move the sunvisor out of the way.





2. Using a flat-tip screwdriver, push the hook, as shown, and turn the sunvisor holder counterclockwise 1/4 turn. Pull out the sunvisor holder, and discard it.

3. Install the new sunvisor holder.

4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the other sunvisor holder.
