Radiator and Condenser Fan High Speed Circuit Troubleshooting

NOTE:
- Do not use this troubleshooting procedure if only one fan is inoperative, or if the compressor is inoperative, refer to the symptom troubleshooting.
- Before performing symptom troubleshooting, check for power train DTCs.

1. Disconnect the A/C pressure switch 4P connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).




3. Measure the voltage between the No.4 terminal of the A/C pressure switch 4P connector and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?

YES - Go to step 4.

NO - Go to step 6.

4. Turn the ignition switch OFF.




5. Check for continuity between the No.3 terminal of the A/C pressure switch 4P connector and body ground.

Is there continuity?

YES - Replace the A/C pressure switch.

NO - Check for an open in the wire between the A/C pressure switch and body ground. If the wire is OK, check for poor ground at G201.

6. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
7. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
8. Disconnect PCM connector A (72P).




9. Check for continuity between the No.30 terminal of PCM connector A (73P) and the No.2 terminal of the A/C pressure switch 4P connector.

Is there continuity?

YES - Replace the PCM.

NO - Repair open in the wire between the PCM and the A/C pressure switch.
