DTC P0035: Turbocharger Bypass Control Solenoid Valve Circuit High VoltageGeneral Description
The turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve is activated by the powertrain control module (PCM) to control the turbocharger bypass control valve timing to improve boost response during acceleration immediately after deceleration and charging pressure decrease during deceleration.
The turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve is normally closed (negative pressure side). When the return signal is close, even though the PCM outputs a open signal to the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.

Enable Conditions
Malfunction Threshold
When the return signal is close and this condition continues at least 5 seconds, though the open signal is output to the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve.
Confirmation Procedure with the HDS
Select the TURBOCHARGER BYPASS CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE ON in the INSPECTION MENU with the HDS.
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for illuminating the MIL
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and the DTC and the freeze frame data are stored in the PCM memory.
Conditions for clearing the MIL
The MIL will be cleared if the malfunction does not recur during three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs.
The MIL, the DTC, and the freeze frame data can be cleared by using the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the battery.
