Speaker Test/ReplacementDoor Speaker
1. Remove the door panel.
2. Remove the bolt. Then lift the speaker straight up to release the lower clips (A).
NOTE: If you pull the speaker out too far from the door, you will damage the lower clips.
3. Disconnect the 2P connector (B), and remove the speaker.
4. Measure the resistance between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals. There should be about 2 ohms.
5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the door speaker.
Front Center Speaker (with ELS audio system)
1. Remove the dashboard center upper panel.
2. Remove the screws, then pull out the speaker (A).
3. Disconnect the 2P connector (C), and remove the speaker.
4. Measure the resistance between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals. There should be about 4 ohms.
5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the front center speaker.
Front Door Tweeter (with premium audio system)
1. Detach the clip (A) and remove the door mirror garnish (B). Then disconnect the connector (C).
2. Carefully pry the tweeter grille (A) out of the door mirror garnish. Be careful not to damage the tweeter grille and the door mirror garnish.
3. Remove the front door tweeter (B) from the speaker grille.
4. Measure the resistance between the front door tweeter 2P connector No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 3.3 ohms.
5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the front door tweeter.
Front Door Tweeter (with ELS audio system)
1. Detach the clip (A) and remove the door mirror garnish (B). Then disconnect the connector (C).
2. Carefully pry the tweeter grille (A) out of the door mirror garnish. Be careful not to damage the tweeter grille and the door mirror garnish.
3. Remove the front door tweeter (B) from the speaker grille.
4. Check the capacitor (C) condition. If any malfunction is found, replace the front door tweeter.
5. Measure the resistance between the front door tweeter (A) terminal No. 2 and the outside terminal of the capacitor. There should be about 6 ohm.
6. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the front door tweeter.
Rear Satellite Speaker (with ELS audio system)
1. Remove the quarter-pillar panel.
2. Disconnect 2P connector (A), then remove the bolts and pull out the speaker (B).
3. Measure the resistance between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals. There should be about 4 ohms.
4. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the rear tweeter.
Subwoofer (with premium audio system)
1. Remove the right rear side trim panel.
2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A), then remove the bolts and pull out the subwoofer (B).
3. Measure the resistance between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals. There should be about 2.3 ohms.
4. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the subwoofer.
Subwoofer (with ELS audio system)
1. Remove the right rear side trim panel.
2. Disconnect 8P connector (A), then remove the bolts and pull out the subwoofer (B).
Input Test
3. With the connector still disconnected, make the input tests at the connector according to the table.
4. Reconnect the connector to the subwoofer, and make the input test at the connector according to the table.
5. If the result of the input test is OK and the subwoofer has no sound, replace the subwoofer.
