Buzzing From Tweeters
SYMPTOM
The tweeters buzz when the audio system is at medium to high volume.
PROBABLE CAUSE
A small gap between the tweeter and its grille causes the tweeter to vibrate against the grille.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the tweeters.

Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone Office. You must request consideration, and get a decision, before starting work.
DIAGNOSIS
1. Play the diagnostic CD to recreate the noise complaint.
2. Disconnect both tweeters:
^ Detach the clip.
^ Remove the door mirror trim.
^ Disconnect the connector.
3. Play the diagnostic CD again.
^ If the noise is gone, go to REPAIR PROCEDURE.
^ If the noise is still there, disregard this service bulletin and continue with normal troubleshooting.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. With the door mirror trim removed, carefully pry the tweeter grille and tweeter out of the door mirror trim.
2. Separate the tweeter from its grille.
3. Replace the tweeter, and reassemble in the reverse order of removal.
4. Repeat steps 1 thru 3 on the other side.
5. Play the diagnostic CD to make sure the noise is gone.
