DTC P0340: Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor A No Signal

General Description
Camshaft position (CMP) sensor A detects the intake camshaft timing and sends pulsing signals to the powertrain control module (PCM). The PCM determines the advance or the retard of the camshaft timing according to the signals from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor and CMP sensor A. If no pulsing signals are detected from CMP sensor A, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.

Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type, OBD Status

Enable Conditions

Malfunction Threshold
