DTC indicator G:

Climate Control Unit Internal Error or An Open in the Evaporator Temperature Sensor Circuit

- Check the battery condition Testing and Inspection and the charging system Charging System Indicator Circuit Troubleshooting.
- If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN system diagnosis test mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Check the sensor input display mode, and select "evaporator temperature sensor" according to the table Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

NOTE: This indication by segment lit on digital segments is assigned for 2 failure causes that it is necessary to decide which one is a true cause. If there is a failure in the sensor or motor, a value corresponded to the sensor or motor in the Sensor Input Display Mode is displayed as "Er", which serves to specify which is a true cause.

Is sensor value indicated "Er"?

YES -

Go to troubleshooting DTC B1231 or DTC indicator G B1231

NO -

Go to step2

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).

3. Do the self-diagnostic with the climate control unit Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

4. Check for DTCs.

Is DTC indicator G indicated?

YES -

The climate control unit is faulty, replace the climate control unit Climate Control Unit Removal/Installation.�

NO -

Intermittent failure, the climate control unit is OK at this time. Check for poor connections at the climate control unit.�
