Ventilated Seat Control Unit Input Test/Replacement

NOTE: Before testing, check the No. 2 (OP1) (40 A) fuse in the main under-hood fuse box, the No. 30 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box, and the No. 4 (20 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.

1. Remove the center console trim Center Console Removal/Installation.

2. Disconnect the 37P connector (A) from the seat ventilation control unit (B), then detach the clips (C).






3. Loosen the bolts (D).

4. Remove the nut (E), then pull out the bracket (F).

5. Remove the bolts (G), then remove the seat ventilation control unit.

6. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.

- If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to step 7.

7. Reconnect the 37P connector to the control unit, and do the following input tests:

- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 8.





8. Disconnect the 37P connector from the control unit, and do the following input tests:

- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, the control unit must be faulty; replace it.
