Tailgate Release Actuator Test

1. Open the tailgate.

2. Remove the tailgate lower trim panel .

3. Disconnect the 4P connector (A) from the tailgate latch (B).






4. Check actuator operation by connecting power and ground according to the table. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.






5. If the actuator does not operate as specified, the tailgate release actuator is faulty; replace the tailgate latch Service and Repair.
