Upper Dashboard Panel Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
- Trim Pad Remover Snap-on A 177A or equivalent, commercially available

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the dashboard or the related parts.

1. Remove these items:

- Center upper dashboard panel Center Upper Dashboard Panel Removal / Installation
- Dashboard side trim, both sides Dashboard Side Trim Removal / Installation
- Center panel Dashboard Center Panel Removal / Installation
- Instrument panel Instrument Panel Removal / Installation
- Gauge control module Service and Repair

2. Disconnect the front passenger's airbag 4P connector, and remove the three mounting nuts securing the front passenger's airbag Front Passenger's Airbag Replacement.

3. Remove the screws.






4. Detach the clips along the front edge of the upper dashboard panel (A). Gently pull up the panel along with the front passenger's airbag to detach the clips from the dashboard (B).





5. If necessary, remove the front passenger's airbag from the upper dashboard panel.

6. Install the panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips into place securely.
