Fog/Driving Lamp: Adjustments
Fog Light Adjustment
Before adjusting the fog lights:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface.
- Make sure the tire pressures are correct.
- The driver or someone who weighs the same should sit in the driver's seat.
- Unload the vehicle.
The fog lights should aim down slightly. To check for proper adjustment:
1. Park the vehicle in front of a wall (A).
2. Turn the fog lights on.
3. Determine if the fog lights are aimed properly:
- Measure the height of the fog lights (B).
- On the wall, mark the height of the fog lights with a piece of tape (C).
Check each fog light beam's height with the vehicle parked 3 m (9.6 ft) from the screen, the top of the fog light beam should be 4.5 cm (1.77 in) below the tape mark.
4. If necessary, adjust each fog light to the specified height by turning the adjuster (A).
