Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Description and Operation

The TA sensor is a temperature dependent resistor. Basic discharge duration readout from the ECU memory is compensated for different operating conditions by the signals sent from this sensor to the ECU. The resistance of the sensor decreases with a rise in intake air temperature.
