Starter Switch Signal Circuit Troubleshooting

This signal informs the ECU when the engine is cranking. The ECU then varies the current to the electronic idle control valve to promote easier starting.
1. Connect system checker harness between ECU and wire harness connector.
2. Turn ignition switch to the start position, then measure voltage between terminal B13 (+) and terminal A18 (-) of system checker harness. Battery voltage should be present.
3. If battery voltage is not present, check for blown starter signal fuse or open circuit between starter signal fuse and ECU.
