Evaporative Emissions System: Testing and Inspection

Perform the following check with engine cold.
1. Check all vacuum hoses for cracks, blockage or improper connection. Repair or replace hoses as necessary.
2. Disconnect upper vacuum hose from purge control valve located on top of canister and connect a suitable vacuum gauge to hose.
3. Start engine, then with engine idling, observe vacuum gauge. No vacuum should be evident. If vacuum is present on Legend models, replace thermovalve and repeat system check. If vacuum is present on Integra models, proceed to ``Purge Cut-Off Solenoid Valve'' testing procedure.
