Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Relieve fuel pressure, refer to ``Relieving System Fuel Pressure'' procedure.
3. Disconnect injector electrical connector.
4. Disconnect vacuum hose and fuel return hose from the pressure regulator.
5. On Integra models, remove fuel line, pulsation damper and connector holder, then loosen retainer nuts and disconnect fuel pipe. On Legend models, remove intake manifold cover, disconnect fuel hose from fuel pipe, loosen fuel pipe and harness holder retainer nuts, then disconnect fuel pipe.
6. On all models, remove injectors from intake manifold.
7. Install new cushion ring and O-ring on the injector, then the injector in hole of fuel pipe.
8. Press seal ring into the intake manifold, then install injector and fuel pipe assembly in manifold, aligning center line of injector electrical connector with index mark on the intake manifold.
9. Install and tighten injector retainer nuts.
10. On Integra models, install connector holder, fuel line and pulsation damper.
11. On all models, connect vacuum hose and fuel return hose to fuel pressure regulator, then the injector electrical connectors.
12. On Legend models, install intake manifold cover.
13. On all models, turn ignition switch to On position and check for fuel leakage.
