Variable Induction (Bypass Control) System

By-Pass Control System:

The bypass control system directs intake air through a dual path induction manifold to optimize power at all engine speeds. The bypass valve assembly is contained in the lower chamber of the intake manifold and is an integral part of the manifold assembly.
Long and short intake paths are ECU controlled by a two-stage valve assembly. To increase torque at low RPM, intake air is directed through the long intake path. To increase power at high speed, air is directed through the shorter, less restrictive path.
