Fuel Filter: Description and Operation

Fuel Filter:

The Fuel Filter, is located on the right side of the firewall. It is a replaceable in-line type filter. The Fuel Filter is equipped with a service bolt where system pressure can be relieved prior to servicing fuel delivery components. The service bolt port can also be used to connect a fuel pressure gauge for testing purposes. The Fuel Filter uses a paper element to trap contaminants before they can reach the fuel injectors.
