Seats: Description and Operation

DRIVER'S SEAT
The power seat control unit receives power at all times through fuses 15, 55, and 58, and in RUN or START through fuse 20.

Manual Operation:
When you turn on one or more of the switches inside the power seat switch, the power seat control unit provides voltage to the appropriate motor(s) and the seat moves. The seat will continue to move until the switch or the corresponding limit switch opens. For example, if you push the power seat switch to the SLIDE FORWARD position and hold it there, the slide motor runs until the seat reaches the forward position limit. The power seat control unit will turn the slide motor off when it senses the higher load at the limit.

Memory Operation:
With the ignition switch in RUN, two seat positions can be saved in memory. Press and release the memory switch and, when you hear a beep, immediately press and hold one of the position switches until you hear two beeps. The seat's position is then in memory.

One touch on the memory switch will automatically adjust seat position only when the driver's door is open. When the driver's door is closed, you must hold the switch down. When adjustment is complete, you will hear two beeps.

The power seat control unit adjusts the seat-back angle only within a certain range. If the seat-back angle stored in memory is beyond this range, automatic adjustment stops at the limit and three beeps will be heard. To continue the automatic adjustment, press and hold the appropriate memory switch. When the seat-back reaches the memorized position, you will hear two beeps.

PASSENGER'S SEAT
Power is provided at all times through fuse 52 to the right front power seat switch.

Slide Operation:
Slide operation is the same as the driver's seat except that either the power seat or rear access slide switch can be used.

Recline Operation:
Recline operation is the same as the driver's seat.
