Squeaks Around the Instrument Panel

Symptom:
Creaking from behind the instrument panel when driving over rough roads.

Probable Cause:
Friction between the bulkhead and the stays on the instrument panel wire harness.

Corrective Action:





1. Remove the meter assembly.






2. Pull the meter case towards you and apply the 10 mm EPT tape behind the wire harness stays on each side.



3. Reinstall the meter case and the meter assembly.
