Belt Pretensioner
Belt PretensionerBattery voltage is supplied at all times through fuse 8 to the seat belt presenter relay assembly. The relay assembly receives "door open" or "door closed" inputs from the door latch switches. This determines the seat belt presenter motor polarity. Limit switch inputs are provided to the relay assembly from each presenter motor assembly.
Opening Door
When you pull the door handle up and unlatch the door, battery voltage is applied through the GRN/BLK wire and the seat belt presenter "down" relay contacts to the seat belt presenter motor. The motor is grounded by the BLU/WHT wire through the seat belt presenter "up" relay contacts to G303 (driver's side) or G305 (passenger 5 side). The motor runs until the seat belt presenter is in the "full back" position. The "down limit" switch then opens and removes voltage from the motor.
Closing Door
When you close the door, battery voltage is applied through the BLU/WHT wire to the seat belt presenter motor through the seat belt presenter "up" relay contacts. The motor is grounded by the GRN/BLK wire through the seat belt presenter "down" relay contacts to G303 (driver's side) or G305 (passenger's side). The motor runs until the seat belt presenter is in the "full forward" position. The "up" limit switch then opens and removes voltage from the motor.
