Mirrors: Description and Operation
The operation of the two outside mirrors is controlled by the power mirror switch. Each mirror has two reversible motors: one motor moves the mirror up and down; the other motor moves the mirror left and right. The mirror selector switch directs voltage to the driver's and passenger's mirrors. When you turn the ignition switch to RUN, move the mirror selector switch to LEFT, and the up/down switch to UP, voltage is applied through the UP contacts of the up/down switch to the driver's mirror up/down motor, and the mirror tilts up. Ground is provided through the mirror selector switch and the up/down switch. In the DOWN position, voltage is applied to the opposite side of the motor.
The left/right switch works similarly to the up/down switch.
With the mirror selector switch in the RIGHT position, voltage is applied to the passenger 5 power mirror motors in a similar way
