Removal and Installation
1. Raise and support front of vehicle.
2. Remove front wheel and tire assemblies, then drain transaxle fluid into a suitable container. If removing left driveshaft only, it is not necessary to drain transaxle.
3. Raise spindle nut lock tab and remove nut.
4. Remove damper fork bolt and pinch bolt, then damper fork.
5. Remove steering knuckle to lower control arm castellated nut cotter pin and nut.
6. Separate lower control arm from steering knuckle using a suitable puller.
7. Pull steering knuckle outward and tap driveshaft outboard joint from steering knuckle.
8. Pry driveshaft out with a screwdriver to force set ring at driveshaft end past groove.
9. Pull inboard CV joint and remove driveshaft and CV joint as an assembly. Pull shaft straight out to prevent damaging seals.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
