Fuel Filter: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
Filters out contamination before it reaches the fuel injectors.

OPERATION
Fuel from the tank is routed to the fuel filter by the fuel pump, where it circulates through the filter media.

CONSTRUCTION
Consists of a paper element encased in a sealed replaceable housing.
