Sunroof / Moonroof: Description and Operation

Voltage is applied at all times through fuse 29 to both moonroof relay contacts. With the ignition switch in ON (II) or START (III), voltage is applied through fuse 5 to both moonroof relay coils.

Open Operation
When you move the moonroof switch to the OPEN position, ground is provided to the coil of the moonroof open relay. The contacts close, providing voltage to the motor. The motor is grounded through the contacts of the moonroof close relay at G5Ol.

Close Operation
When you move the moonroof switch to the CLOSED position, ground is provided to the coil of the moonroof close relay. The contacts close providing voltage to the motor. The ground path for the motor is through the contacts of the moonroof open relay at G5Ol.
