Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Description and Operation

PURPOSE/OPERATION
This signals the engine control module with the temperature of the intake air. The Intake Air Temperature Sensor is a temperature dependant resistor (thermistor). The resistance of the thermistor decreases as the intake air temperature increases.
