Technician:

2. Complete your part of the Diagnosis form.

^ View videotape ET644, The Service Technician's Guide the Navigation System.

^ Use the Navigation System Service Manual Supplement to diagnose problems with the control unit or the display unit.

^ Use normal troubleshooting procedures to diagnose problems with the audio unit. Review Acura Advantage videotape E3103, Tuning in on Audio Diagnosis.

^ After you confirm the faulty component, contact Tech Line at 800-228-7210. Write the authorization reference number for the remanufactured component on the form.

Advisor:

3. Return the vehicle to the customer, and schedule a date for installing the remanufactured component based on its estimated time of arrival.

Parts Manager:

NOTE:
Due to limited availability, Navigation System components are on order restrictions. You must have prior authorization (reference number) from Tech Line before you can receive one of these remanufactured components:

When placing the order, be prepared to give this information:

8. Fill out the FEDEX airbill that came in the box with the remanufactured component. Write your dealer number and the warranty claim number on it as shown in the sample. The airbill should have the return address preprinted:

AHM Remanufactured Parts
c/o NK PARTS INDUSTRIES
2640 Campbell Rd.
Sidney, OH 45365

^ Do not use an ordinary FEDEX airbill. This preprinted airbill has a special account number on it for the Exchange Program. If you need more airbills, call your assigned Parts Center.

^ Ship the unit to the preprinted address on the airbill. Do not ship it to the manufacturer or the WPI (Warranty Parts Inspection) Center.

9. On the repair order, write down the warranty claim number, the original part number, the serial numbers from both the new and defective components, and the FEDEX airbill number.

10. Ship the defective component in the same box the remanufactured component came in; include the required paperwork:

^ Two copies (white and yellow) of the Navigation System Core Return form

If the claim form and the Navigation System Component Return Form are incomplete or are not in the box, you will be charged a $50.00 diagnostic fee.

When the defective component is received, your parts request will be credited, and core credit will be posted to your dealership Balance Forward account. The credit can be identified by the unit part number +"CO."
