Rocker Arms and Shafts Disassembly/Reassembly

Clearance Inspection
Measure the intake rocker shafts and exhaust rocker shaft.





1. Measure the diameter of the shaft at the first rocker location.





2. Zero the gauge to the shah diameter.





3. Measure the inside diameter of each rocker arm, and check for an out-of-round condition.
4. Repeat for all rockers.
If over the service limit, replace the rocker shah and all over tolerance rocker arms.
