Fig. 95 System Air Bleed:

1. Fill modulator reservoir to upper level with fresh brake fluid.
2. Connect rubber tube to bleeder on modulator unit, place other end in suitable container.

Caution: Loosen maintenance bleeder 1/8 to 1/4 turn to collect fluid in container, Fig. 12. Do not loosen maintenance bleeder more than 1/4 turn, brake fluid is under high pressure.

3. Loosen bleeder and start engine to activate pump motor.
4. Tighten bleeder when fluid begins to flow out of the bleeder.
5. Stop engine after pump motor stops.
6. If ABS indicator lamp comes on and pump motor stops, restart engine and repeat steps three through five.
