Static When Adjusting the Radio Volume

PROBLEM

Static comes from the speakers when the radio volume is first adjusted. The noise coincides with the movement of the volume knob, and will usually stop after a few consecutive movements of the knob. The problem may recur when the volume knob is readjusted after the vehicle has been sitting for several hours.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace the radio with a remanufactured unit listed under PARTS INFORMATION.

NOTE:
All remanufactured units have been improved to eliminate this problem.
