1. Remove the door panel.
2. Remove the plastic rain protector by cutting the adhesive with a razor blade.

3. Remove the cover panel. Remove the outside mirror.

4. Remove the outer molding mounting screws.

5. Remove the outer molding by sliding it rearward. As you move the molding, use a small screwdriver to slide the stabilizers so they do not bind against the mounting clips. The molding end piece will come loose; this will be reinstalled later.

6. Discard the old glass stabilizers.

7. Install the new stabilizers from the repair kit (see PARTS INFORMATION) on the molding. The new stabilizers are identical and can be installed in either position.

8. Remove the molding clips from the top of the door and install them on the molding. Reinstall the end piece on the molding. Set the molding assembly aside; it will installed later.

9. Remove the front sash mounting bolts and adjuster locknut from the inside of the door.

Remove the weatherstrip holding clip and the mounting screw from the outside of the door.

Remove the front sash by tilting it slightly forward and pulling It upward. Discard the sash

10. On the new sash, set the distance between the sash face and the outside of the camber adjusting bolt stop to 12.5 mm.

11. Install the sash in the door with the original bolts and clip. Do not tighten the bolts. Loosely install the camber adjuster locknut.

12. Reinstall the outer molding. Install the mounting screws. Reinstall the weatherstrip over the rear mounting screw.

13. Remove the two clips holding the lower part of the weatherstrip to the center pillar. Pull back the weatherstrip and remove the six screws mounting the weatherstrip retainer to the center pillar.

14. Detach the two clips mounting the end of the weatherstrip to the bottom of the front pillar.
15. Detach the four clips mounting the end of the weatherstrip to the bottom of the rear pillar. Two of these clips are hidden.
16. Remove the weatherstrip.

17. Loosen the screw shown below several turns. Release the grommet on the inside by pushing on the screw.
18. Remove the remaining upper weatherstrip retainer mounting screws. Release the clip on the rear edge. Remove the retainer.
19. Remove the seal along the upper edge of the door openings.

20. Install the glass alignment tools along the door openings. Place tools 1, 2, 4, and 5 right in front of the grommets.
21. Connect the power window switch. Raise the front window.

22. Inspect the glass height and position at tool 1. The clearance between the edge of the glass and the tool should be more than 0.5 mm but less than 2.5 mm.

^ If the clearance is correct, go to step 24.
^ If the clearance is incorrect, continue to step 23.

23. Lower the window slightly. Mark the position of the glass mounting bolts on the regulator. Loosen the glass mounting bolts, adjust the glass, then tighten the bolts. Raise the window, and recheck the distance at tool 1.

If you cannot adjust the glass to the proper height with the glass mounting bolts, loosen and adjust the glass stopper plates. When finished, make sure both stopper plates contact the glass at the same time.

24. Inspect the glass fore/aft position at tool 3. The clearance between the rear edge of the glass and the tool should be more than 0.5 mm but less than 2.5 mm.

^ If the clearance is correct, go to step 26.
^ If the clearance is incorrect, continue to step 25.

25. Lower the window slightly. Loosen the glass mounting bolts and adjust the glass. This will affect the adjustment made in step 22. Adjust the height and the fore/aft position to get the proper clearances at both tools. Adjust the stopper plates if necessary.

26. Raise the window and inspect the glass height at tool 2. The clearance between the top of the glass and the tool should be more than 0.5 mm and less than 2.5 mm. This clearance should be correct if the previous adjustments were done properly. If the clearance is not correct, inspect your previous adjustments.

28. Raise the window fully and carefully close the door. Inspect the clearance between the inside of the glass and tools 2 and 3. The clearance at both tools should be more than 0.5 mm and less than 2.5 mm.

^ If the clearance is correct, go to step 30.
^ If the clearance is incorrect, continue to step 29.

29. Loosen the locknuts at the bottom of the regulator and the bottom of the glass guide. Adjust the glass camber by turning both adjusters equally: clockwise to move the top of the glass out, or counterclockwise to move it in. Tighten both locknuts, and recheck the clearance at tools 2 and 3.
30. Make sure all the bolts and locknuts (except for the sash) are tight. Install tool 1, then reinspect the window height and fore/aft adjustments at tools 1, 2, and 3.
31. Remove tool 1, then reinspect the window camber adjustment at tools 2 and 3.

32. Adjust the camber of the sash to match the glass camber. Turn the adjusting bolt clockwise to move the top of the sash out, or counterclockwise to move it in.
33. Position the sash so the top edge is even with the top edge of the glass. Tighten the mounting bolts and the locknut.
34. Inspect the position of the sash. Readjust it if necessary.
35. Reinstall the outside mirror and the cover panel.
36. Reinstall the plastic rain protector.

9. Mount the new glass stabilizers in the same locations as the originals. Mount the red stabilizer on the front of the molding, and the orange stabilizer on the rear of the molding.
10. Connect the power window switch. Raise the window fully.

11. Carefully close the door. Inspect the clearance between the edge of the glass and tools 4 and 5. It should be more than 0.5 mm and less than 2.5 mm.

^ If the clearance is correct, go to step 13.
^ If the clearance is incorrect, continue to step 12 to adjust the window height and fore/aft position.

12. Lower the window slightly. Loosen the roller guide and adjust the glass position. Moving the roller guide moves the front and rear of the glass in opposite directions. Tighten the roller guide.

If you cannot adjust the glass to the proper height with the roller guide, loosen and adjust the glass stopper plates. When finished, make sure both stopper plates contact the glass at the same time.

13. Raise the window fully and close the door. Inspect the clearance between the front edge of the window and tool 3. It should be more than 0.5 mm and less than 2.5 mm.

^ If the clearance is correct, go to step 15.
^ If the clearance is incorrect, continue to step 14.

14. Lower the window slightly. Loosen the center glass guide mounting bolts, and adjust the window forward or backward. This adjustment will affect the adjustment made in step 12. It may be necessary to readjust the roller guide.
15. Raise the window and close the door. Inspect the clearances at tools 3, 4, and 5. If any clearance is not correct, make the necessary adjustments.

16. With the door closed and the window raised, inspect the clearance between the inside of the window and tools 3, 4, and 5. Each should be more than 0.5 mm and less than 2.5 mm.

^ If the clearances are correct, go to step 18.

18. Reinspect the window height, fore/aft position, and camber at all three tools. Make any necessary adjustments.
19. Reinstall the outer molding. Reinstall the ends of the weatherstrip over the outer molding mounting nut and screw.
20. Reinstall the plastic rain protector.
21. Reinstall the door panel.
22. Remove the glass alignment tools.
23. Reinstall the interior trim.
24. Reinstall the upper weatherstrip retainer (12 screws and one clip).
25. Reinstall the weatherstrip.
26. Reinstall the center pillar weatherstrip retainer (six screws).
