Lubricating the Lock Pins, Roof Seals, and Seat Panels [NEW]
(All models)1. Place the roof panel upside down on a padded surface.
2. Use glass cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the dust off the front and rear roof seals and their mating surfaces on the roof panel.
3. Apply a thin coat of silicone grease to the front and rear seals (see REQUIRED MATERIALS). Rub the grease into the seals, and remove the excess with a soft cloth.
4. Remove the front trim panel.
5. Remove both lock handles and side trim panels.
[NEW]
6. On both locks lubricate the four lock pin rod pivots and the center pivot with white lithium spray grease (see REQUIRED MATERIALS). Then apply a small amount of silicone grease to the two lock pins.
7. Reassemble the roof panel.
8. Apply a small amount of silicone grease to the inside of the front and rear lock receivers.
9. Reinstall the roof panel.

10. Sit in the driver's seat, and listen for a creaking sound as you push against the seat-back and shift side-to-side. Also, listen for a creak from the empty passenger's seat while driving.
[NEW]
11. If you hear a creak from the seats, apply a few drops of dishwashing liquid to a clean shop towel, and wipe the towel between
^ the folds of the seat base and the seat back,
^ the seat base and the bolsters, and
^ the seat-back and the bolsters.
[NEW]
12. Wipe off the excess dishwashing liquid with a clean, dry shop towel.
[NEW]
13. Test-drive the vehicle.
^ If the creak is gone, return the vehicle to the customer.
