Cylinder Head Assembly: Testing and Inspection

WARPAGE

NOTE: If camshaft-to-holder oil clearances are not within specification, the cylinder head cannot be resurfaced.

- If camshaft-to-holder oil clearances are within specifications, check the cylinder head for warpage.
- If warpage is less than 0.05 mm (0.002 inch) cylinder head resurfacing is not required.
- If warpage is between 0.05 mm (0.002 inch) and 0.2 mm (0.008 inch), resurface cylinder head.
- Maximum resurface limit is 0.2 mm (0.008 inch) based on a height of 151 mm (5.945 inch).
- Cylinder Head Height:
- Standard (New): 150.95-151.05 mm (5.943 - 5.947 inch)
