Vehicle Damage Warnings

CAUTION:
- When removing the modulator unit or after removing it, be careful not to turn it upside down or lean it excessively.
- Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint if brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately with water.
- Take care not to damage or deform the brake lines during removal and installation.
- To prevent the brake fluid from flowing, plug and cover the hose ends and joints with a shop towel or equivalent material.
- Do not loosen the relief plug on the accumulator.
- Be sure to drain the high-pressure brake fluid completely before performing the modulator function check, disposing the modulator unit, and ABS pump motor replacement.
- Do not reuse the drained brake fluid.
- The ABS can also be bled by using the Honda PGM Tester and the ABS Diagnostic Kit to run the ABS pump. Connect the tester and module A (refer to PGM users guide), then follow the tester's prompts instead of this procedure.
