Relay Test

NOTE: See turn signal/hazard relay input test.

Normally-open type B:

Check for continuity between the terminals.
- There should be continuity between the No.1 and No.3 terminals when power and ground are connected to the No.2 and No.4 terminals.
- There should be no continuity between the No.1 and No.3 terminals when power is disconnected.

- Rear window defogger relay
- ABS pump motor relay
- Headlight high beam relay
- VSA fail-safe relay

- Fuel pump relay
- Seat heater relay

- Starter cut relay

- Blower motor relay
- Blower motor high relay

- Headlight low beam relay
- Security horn relay
- Wiper motor relay
- A/C compressor clutch relay
- Power window relay
- Condenser fan relay

Normally-closed type:

Check for continuity between the terminals.
- There should be continuity between the No.1 and No.3 terminals when power is not connected to the No.2 and No.4 terminals.
- There should be no continuity between the No.1 and No.3 terminals when power and ground are connected to the No.2 and No.4 terminals.

Five-terminal type A:

Check for continuity between the terminals.
- There should be continuity between the No.1 and No.2 terminals when power and ground are connected to the No.3 and No.5 terminals.
- There should be continuity between the No.2 and No.4 terminals when power is disconnected.

- Windshield wiper intermittent relay
- Dimmer relay
- Radiator fan main relay

Five-terminal type B :

- ABS fail-safe relay
- Cigarette lighter relay
- Front fog light relay
- Gauge relay
- Horn relay
- Moonroof open relay
- Moonroof close relay
- Radiator fan relay
- Reverse relay
- TCS fail-safe relay
- Windshield wiper motor relay
- Power window master switch relay
- Driver's power window motor relay A
- Driver's power window motor relay B
- Accessory power socket relay
- Taillight relay
