Tighten intake manifold nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps, beginning with the inner nuts.







Tighten exhaust manifold nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps, beginning with the inner nut.

Upper Engine:

Torque the cylinder head bolts sequentially in three steps.
1st step torque: 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.)
2nd step torque: 69 Nm (51 ft. lbs.)
3rd step torque: 98.1 Nm (72.3 ft. lbs.)

Timing Components:

Lower Engine:

Main Bolt Torque Sequence:

Tighten all the main bearing cap bolts in sequence to about 29 n.m. (22 lb. ft.). Then torque in the same sequence to 74 n.m. (54 lb. ft.).








Flex plate Mounting Bolts [1] 74 Nm (54 ft. lbs.)
