Power Locks: Description and Operation
Power is provided to the keyless door lock control unit at all times through fuse 44. The control unit is grounded at G403.When you insert the key in the driver's door lock key cylinder switch and turn it to the unlock position immediately, only the driver's door will unlock. If you leave the key in the unlock position for 1 second or more, all the doors will unlock.
The doors can also be unlocked by using the remote transmitter. When you press the unlock button on the transmitter, only the driver's door will unlock. Pressing the button again will unlock all the doors. The doors will relock automatically after 20 seconds if a door is not opened or the key is not in the ignition switch. The remote transmitter will not lock the doors if the key is in the ignition switch.
Each door has a lock knob above the inside door handle. Pushing the lock knob on the driver's door will unlock all the doors. Pulling the lock knob on the driver's door will unlock the driver's door only. The lock knob on the other doors will unlock and unlock only that door.
The driver's and front passenger doors also have a door lock knob switch. Operating either switch will lock or unlock all the doors.
