A scraping noise is heard when turning the steering wheel.

The steering column covers are rubbing against the back of the steering wheel.

Replace the upper and lower steering column covers.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Remove the upper steering column cover, the lower cover mounting screws, and the lower cover. Discard the column covers. Save the lower column cover mounting screws. They will be reused.
2. Using the three screws retained in step 1, install the new upper and lower steering column covers listed under PARTS INFORMATION.
