REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Pry out the bottom of the mirror with a screwdriver wrapped in a shop towel. Continue to pry until the actuator shafts come out of the actuator or the mirror.

2. If the actuator shafts are still attached to the mirror, remove them and reinstall them on the actuator. Make sure the rubber boots are properly seated in the actuator.

3. Before installing the new mirror:

^ Make sure the tabs on the actuator shafts are lined up with the slots on the back of the mirror.

^ Apply grease to the mirror pivot and the actuator shafts.

4. Align the pivot and the actuator shafts with the mirror. With a shop towel over the glass, carefully push on the mirror until the pivot and the actuator shafts are properly seated. If the pivot and the actuator shafts will not engage, warm the shafts and the pivot with a heat gun.

5. Clean the mirror with glass cleaner.

6. Check the operation of the power mirror actuator in all four directions.

7. Test-drive the vehicle to verity the mirror does not vibrate
