REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Remove the right front wheel.
2. Remove the five clips and the bolt, then pull back the right inner fender to expose the washer reservoir.
3. Carefully Cut the washer tubing oft the washer pump with a razor knife, then drain and discard the fluid from the reservoir.
4. Fill the reservoir with clean water, then drain it.
5. Remove the hood insulator with a clip remover. (If needed, see page 20-100 of the 1999-01 3.2TL Service Manual or page 20-86 of the 2001 3.2CL Service Manual.)
6. 3.2CL only: Remove and discard the cushion tape and washer tube clips.
7. Cut six pieces of tubing from the washer tubing roll. Use the measurements from the appropriate CL or TL washer tubing diagram.
8. Using a razor knife, carefully cut the old tubing at the washer nozzles, the check valves, the "Y" joint, and the elbow joint.
9. Replace each section of tubing with the tubing you cut in step 7. Make sure to route the new tubing correctly, using all existing clips, joints, and fittings. Also, make sure you install the washer nozzle check valves in the direction as shown.
NOTE:
To help with assembly, dip the tubing in clean washer fluid before passing it through clips and pressing the ends onto fittings, joints, and nozzles.
10. 3.2CL only: Install new washer clips and cushion tape.
11. Replace any hood insulator clips that broke when you removed the insulator, then install the insulator.
12. Install the inner fender and the wheel. Torque the lug nuts to 108 Nm (80 lb-ft).
13. Fill the washer reservoir with commercially available washer fluid.
14. Replace the wiper blades.
15. Clean the windshield with a non-abrasive cleaner such as Soft Scrub.
16. Operate the windshield washers and wipers to make sure they work correctly.
