Rear Seat Belt Replacement

CAUTION: Check the rear seat belts for damage, and replace them if necessary. Be careful not to damage them during removal and installation.

Rear seat belt:

1. Remove:
- Rear seat cushion and rear seat-back.
- Rear side trim.
- Rear door trim.
- Rear pillar trim panel.




2. Remove all the anchor bolts and retractor bolt, remove the retractor mounting bolt, then remove the rear seat belt and retractor.

Upper Anchor Bolt Construction / Retractor Bolt Construction:

3. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

NOTE:
- Check that the retractor locking mechanism functions.
- Before installing the anchor bolt, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the rear seat belt.

Seat belt buckle/center belt tongue:

1. Remove the rear seat cushion..




2. Remove the center anchor bolts, then remove the seat belt buckles and center belt tongue.
3. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

NOTE: Before attaching the rear seat-back and rear seat cushion, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the center belts.

Center seat belt/Center seat belt buckle

1. Remove:
- Rear seat cushion and rear seat-back.
- Rear side trim.
- Rear door trim.
- Rear pillar trim panel.
- Rear shelf.




2. Remove the retractor mounting bolt, retractor bolt and lower anchor bolt, then remove the center seat belt.

Retractor Bolt Construction / Lower/center Anchor Bolt Construction:

3. Remove the center seat belt anchor bolt, then remove the center seat belt buckle.
4. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

NOTE:
- Check that the retractor locking mechanism functions.
- Before installing the anchor bolt, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the rear center seat belt.
