Non-Detailed Coverage

Cities and towns in the non-detailed map coverage area are not fully mapped. In the city listings that come up on the screen, these are denoted by a "*" next to the name. Only major federal, state, and county roads leading to and through these cities and towns are mapped. Map coverage includes:

^ Interstate, Federal, State, Primary County numbered routes, and any roads that appear on a AAA state map

^ Public roads within FAA-certified airports

^ Roads that lead to an included City Center Point of Interest that is listed in the AAA state map index or has a population of 500 or more

^ Ferry connections for automobiles via rail or boat between qualified roads

^ Roads that connect an included Point of Interest

^ Roads within an included Point of Interest

^ Roads within an included rest stop

^ Ramps, roundabouts, special traffic figures, turn lanes, and U-turn lanes

A street address or intersection cannot be specified if a city or town in the non-detailed coverage area is selected as a destination. The system will guide you to the center of that city or town; you may then have to ask directions to your final destination.
