Power Seat Switch: Description and Operation
How the Circuit WorksThe power mirrors and driver's seat have a memory feature. The two outside mirror adjustments and the three driver's seat adjustments (forward and back, up and down, seat back angle) can be regulated separately. All of the adjustments can be memorized at the same time by pressing the MEMO button on the driving position memory switch, and then (within five seconds) pressing one of the two position buttons. If you press that same position button after the adjustments are memorized, the seat will move to those memorized positions.
NOTE: Disconnecting the battery for more than 30 seconds will cancel the memorized positions.
Power Seat Recline Limit Switch
The power seat recline switch consists of two switches. One of the switches detects the position and the power seat control unit makes the seat move forward by sending power to the power seat slide motor. Another switch detects the position, and the power seat control unit sends power to the power seat slide motor.
When you push one of the position buttons, the driving position memory switch commands the power seat control unit and the power mirror control unit to retrieve the corresponding power seat and outside mirror positions. This function is disabled at speeds above 6 mph (10 kph).
