Rearview Mirror Removal - with OnStar System

1. Carefully remove the rearview mirror base lower cover with a flat-tip screwdriver.






CAUTION: When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

2. Carefully remove the rearview mirror harness upper cover with a flat-tip screwdriver.






CAUTION: When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.




3. Disconnect the connector, and loosen the screw with a Torx T20 bit, then slide the rearview mirror rearward and off the lug.
4. Install the mirror in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
- Before installing the mirror, remove the Torx screw, and apply liquid thread lock to it.
- Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
