GPS satellite icon is not indicated

1. Check the rear window.

Is there window tint applied to the rear window that contains any metallic content?

YES - Swap a known-good navigation unit that was verified displaying a green satellite mark. If a satellite icon is still not indicated, remove the window tint and recheck.

NO - Go to step 2.

2. Check for electronic aftermarket accessories (possibly hidden) mounted near the GPS antenna or the navigation unit.

Are there any electronic accessories?

YES - Disable the accessories and recheck.

NO - Go to step 3.

3. Perform the "System Link" check under system diagnosis test.

Is "NG" indicated?

YES - Repair affected link as indicated by the system link check.

NO - Check that nothing is blocking the GPS antenna located under the package shelf and recheck. If "NG" is still indicated, substitute a known-good GPS antenna.
