REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Open the fuel fill door about halfway. If it won't open, have someone pull up the fuel fill door handle while you pry the door open with your fingertips.

2. Remove the fuel fill door spring.

NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the paint around the door opening.

3. Press a new door spring onto the hinge, making sure the spring tab clicks into place.

4 Close the fuel fill door, and check its alignment.

^ If the door is flush to the body and centered in the opening, return the vehicle to your customer.

^ If the door is not flush or centered, adjust it (see page 20-92 of the 2001-02 3.2CL Service Manual).
