Sunroof / Moonroof: Description and Operation

How the Circuit Works
The moonroof is controlled by the moonroof control unit, moonroof switch, moonroof "open" relay, moonroof "close" relay, four limit switches, and the moonroof motor. With the ignition switch in ON (II) or START (III), voltage is supplied to the moonroof control unit, moonroof "open" relay coil, and moonroof "close" relay coil through fuse 23 ('96-'98) or fuse 13 ('99-'04). Fuse 51 supplies voltage to the moonroof "open" relay and the moonroof "close" relay normally-open contacts. The moonroof functions are controlled by the moonroof control unit which receives inputs from limit switch 1, limit switch 2, and limit switch 3.
